If you’ve never tried grilled broccoli, this is your sign to give it a go. Fresh and bright with lemon, and a touch of heat from red pepper flakes (optional), this simple side is flavorful and healthy.

How to cut broccoli for grilling
Cut the broccoli into large florets about 2″ long, leaving a bit of stem attached. The stem helps the pieces sit on the grill grates so they don’t slip through as they cook.

How to make grilled broccoli
- Cut large florets.
- Toss in a simple marinade: lemon juice, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder and red pepper flakes (optional).
- Heat the grill and oil the grates.
- Grill the broccoli until just tender and slightly charred at the edges.

Is grilled broccoli healthy?
Yes. Broccoli is high in fiber and provides vitamins and minerals such as iron, potassium and calcium. Grilling preserves flavor and texture without adding heavy fats, making it a nutritious choice.
