Making your own seasoning mixes often yields better flavor than store-bought blends. This homemade fajita seasoning (adapted from Real Life Dinner’s recipe) is no exception — it’s far superior to the packets from the grocery aisle, and it’s incredibly simple to make.

Homemade Fajita Seasoning
Here’s a straight ticket to bold, vibrant flavor — and you likely already have most of the ingredients in your pantry.
This fajita seasoning works equally well on chicken, beef, or vegetables. Use it as a dry rub, stir it into a marinade, or sprinkle it directly on your food while cooking. It’s versatile and easy to use.
The flavor is rich and well-rounded. I used this blend for homemade crock pot beef fajitas and the cooking juices were so flavorful they were almost drinkable. This mix would also add depth to soups or stews and can easily become an all-purpose seasoning in your spice cabinet.
