Patriotic Caprese Bites are a simple, festive appetizer that’s perfect for 4th of July gatherings.

This quick recipe highlights bocconcini (small mozzarella balls), blueberries, grape and cherry tomatoes. It’s fresh, colorful and easy to assemble — ideal for parties or picnics.
To serve, arrange the blueberry Caprese skewers on a platter or cutting board so they resemble an American flag. Right before serving, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and a splash of balsamic vinegar. Add torn fresh basil leaves if you like for extra aroma and flavor.
Recipe Tip
If you prefer a fruit-only patriotic platter, swap the tomatoes for strawberries, red grapes, or sliced red apples, and replace the mozzarella with canary melon or other pale fruit for the white stripes.
This fun American-flag-style platter is a crowd-pleasing party food for your Independence Day spread.

- 24 bocconcini, mozzarella balls
- 20 blueberries
- sea salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Instructions
