AODSK Electric Drum Kit for Beginners — 150 Sounds, Quiet Pads
Product description
What’s included
The kit ships as a complete set ready to assemble: four 6.5-inch drum pads made from silicone mesh-like material, three 10-inch cymbals (including crash, ride and hi-hat zones), a compact electronic module, an adjustable drum throne, a pair of drumsticks, wired headphones and the necessary patch and power cables.
Frame and materials
A foldable metal rack supports the pads and cymbals and is designed to collapse for storage or transport. The drumheads are silicone for reduced acoustic volume while still preserving rebound similar to acoustic drums. Cymbal surfaces and rims are built for trigger sensitivity, and the provided sticks resemble standard 5A-style sticks.
Sound engine and connectivity
The control module houses 150 sampled sounds and 15 preset drum kits, plus around ten demo tracks for practice. It includes an easy-read LED display, onboard metronome, headphone output for silent practice, AUX input for play-along music and a USB MIDI output for connecting to a computer or recording software.
Playing and practical use
Set up is straightforward: mount the pads and cymbals to the rack, connect the patch cables to the module and adjust heights and angles. The silicone pad size and tension are suitable for small hands and confined spaces. Use the headphone jack to keep volume down, or route audio out to an external speaker for louder playback. The module’s functions let you switch kits, use the metronome, and record basic patterns to check progress.
Limitations and maintenance
While the rack is sturdy, some clamps and tube joints may require occasional retightening after active use. The module has fixed cable lengths and a front-mounted area where users often place it; care should be taken to avoid hits or pulls. Some users report that certain pad combinations and per-pad adjustment options are limited compared with higher-end modules.
Pros
- Complete starter package with accessories included
- Quiet silicone pads suitable for home use
- USB MIDI and AUX for recording and play-along
Cons
- Some clamps and joints can loosen during play
- Module placement and cable routing are awkward
- Limited simultaneous pad behavior and per-pad controls
VerdictThis compact electronic drum kit delivers a lot for beginners: realistic sampled tones, quiet silicone heads, and full accessories so you can play right away. The foldable metal frame and USB/AUX ports make it versatile for home practice, lessons and basic recording. Build and component fitment sometimes loosen with heavy use and the module mounting and per-pad behaviors have limits, but for the p

Module failed after six months
The drum module stopped working at about six months. Customer support is slow and mostly online resources. My daughter loved it, so the failure turned a holiday present into a disappointment.

Lightweight, easy to move and use
Very portable and simple to set up. Rack adjustments are intuitive and the instructions sped assembly. Headphone mode lets you practice quietly, which is handy.

Kids love it, parents love the headphones
My boys really enjoy playing and the headphone option lets them practice without disturbing the house. Great for keeping noise down at home.

Great gift for a beginner drummer
My son bought this for himself and it’s perfect for his weekly lessons. Very quiet with headphones and still feels solid after months of use. Easy to assemble and fun to play — a nice present idea.

Sturdy frame but some fittings shift
The tubes feel robust and assembly was straightforward. However, some extension tubes rotate after a few minutes of play and the toms droop unless retightened. I added a tablet holder for lessons. One dashboard button stuck early and support promised a replacement but it’s been slow. I also tried an external speaker since the kit’s bass was weak, though that may be the speaker rather than the module.

Excellent way to encourage a new hobby
I got this for our 11‑year‑old to steer him away from screens and he really enjoys it. Set up was quick—took about a nap—and it’s a good outlet for energy. So far, we recommend it as fun entertainment.

Good beginner set — holds up but needs tweaks
Bought for my 5‑year‑old and it’s survived rough play. Fasteners can work loose, so keep the supplied tool nearby and use the locking collars when possible. It’s been enjoyable for both of us to play together and I’ve watched my child improve. Downsides: some parts loosen with time, you can’t reliably trigger two pads at once, and the seat feels basic. Upside: includes headphones, AUX, demo songs and simple recording — a fine way to test if drumming will stick.

Solid kid’s kit with a couple of quirks
Good entry instrument for a child — fun sounds and 15 kits to try. The stool and sticks feel appropriate; sticks resemble regular 5A size which may be large for very small hands. My main gripe is there’s no secure spot for the module and the fixed-length cable forces it to sit on a front tube where an energetic child could hit it. Also, the tom pads don’t always register together with the snare as expected.

Needs help — stopped working quickly
Bought this on November 12 as a gift and assembled it on November 25, but it only worked for 15 minutes. Looking for advice on what to try next.

Exceeded expectations for learning
Surpassed what I expected — well suited for getting started on drums and learning basics.

Good for recording, with a few limits
Handy interface for recording into a DAW and the hi‑hat and snare respond nicely. The kit limits you to two crash/ride assignments plus hi‑hat, and the bass trigger is a bit loud; I couldn’t find individual pad volume controls. Overall a solid starter rig.
