Pentair R38013A Admiral Replacement Skimmer Basket

Product description

Genuine Pentair replacement part intended for Admiral pool skimmers that use a floating weir (the weir itself is not included).

This basket is a direct-fit alternative for American Products part 850001-S-10 and the Aladdin B-37 skimmer basket, designed to replace worn or damaged original baskets without modification. It arrives as the single injection-molded basket component — no extra hardware or the floating flap are provided.

Manufactured by injection molding from impact-resistant plastic for long service life, the basket measures 8-7/16 inches across and stands 7-3/4 inches tall. It installs by dropping into the skimmer throat and locks into place with the factory tabs; removal is straightforward for routine debris clearing and cleaning.

Pros

  • OEM fit for Admiral skimmers and cross-compatible models
  • Durable injection-molded construction
  • Straightforward installation and cleaning

Cons

  • Floating weir not included
  • Some units may need minor tab filing for perfect clearance
  • Not universal — confirm compatibility before ordering

VerdictA genuine OEM replacement that restores skimmer functionality with a precise fit and sturdy construction. Compatible with Admiral skimmers using a floating weir and cross-fits American Products 850001-S-10 and Aladdin B-37. Easy to install, simple to remove and clean; a reliable spare for older systems that need a like-for-like basket.

  1. GJK 5/5

    Dropped in and fit perfectly

It installed on the first try and sat into place without any tweaking. Very simple to remove and clean — exactly what I needed.

  2. Henry Skinner 5/5

    Excellent replacement fit

Good value and an exact replacement for my broken basket. Appears very durable so far.

  3. Xtian 5/5

    Great match for the model

Fit and finish were spot on for the model I specified. No problems, and I expect it to last several years.

  4. Jmn 5/5

    Sturdy and fits my skimmer

Matched my skimmer with no issues. The plastic is thick and feels heavy-duty. Would recommend.

  5. Frances K 5/5

    Solid and thick construction

I searched a while for a reliable skimmer basket. This one is stout and fitted my skimmer perfectly.

  6. OL 5/5

    Confirm OEM markings and tabs

My first shipment lacked locking tabs and different lip stamping. Seller replaced it promptly with a unit in Pentair packaging. Check for tabs and OEM markings; a small file may be needed to clear the weir.

  7. Dawn Tracz 5/5

    Worked for older Hayward setup

We struggled to find the right basket for an older system. This fit well — about 9" across — and the floater seats properly.

  8. Lois Ertel 5/5

    Perfect for an older pool

Measured carefully and took a chance — it fits my old Anthony pool exactly and is much sturdier than the original.

  9. Trevor Arndt 5/5

    Exactly as described

Part matched the description and arrived quickly. Glad I could get a part my regular pool service couldn't locate.

  10. Ronald Lapierre 5/5

    Just what I needed

Simple, correct replacement — fits and works as expected.
