1-Quart Non‑Metallic Pool Algaecide — 60 Plus Formula
Product description
Included: one 1-quart bottle of Algaecide 60 Plus designed for residential pools.
Formula and materials: a non-metallic, non-foaming liquid with minimal odor. The formulation avoids metals so it won’t add copper or other staining metals to the water.
Compatibility and features: pH tolerant—effective across normal acidic and alkaline pool pH ranges—so you normally won’t need to change water chemistry prior to application. Safe to use in pools that include attached spas, waterfalls or decorative fountains. Works with well water and is compatible with common sanitizers including chlorine, bromine, biguanide and salt chlorine generators.
How to use: shake bottle if recommended by label, then add the measured amount while the pump is running to help disperse the product. Recommended dosing per 10,000 gallons: initial shock or preventive dose 6–11 ounces; routine maintenance 2–4 ounces; for visible algae treat with 11–17 ounces. Run the filtration system during and after treatment and brush surfaces as needed to dislodge algae. Repeat treatment if heavy growth persists according to label directions.

Effective but requires brushing
Product did its part, but I needed to scrub the surfaces to remove stuck algae. Use it alongside brushing for full removal.

Cleared black algae in my saltwater pool
After a heavy storm I developed black mustard algae. Other products failed; I added this algaecide to my salt system and within a few days the algae was gone and the water stayed clear.

Appreciate the metal-free formula
I prefer non-metal algaecides to avoid staining from copper. This one controlled growth quickly and didn’t add metals to the pool.

Keeps water clear during warm months
Easy to dose and it doesn’t foam up. Small amounts are effective and it complements regular chlorine maintenance during peak season.

Works well, container needs improvement
The liquid eliminated algae, but the bottle leaves a slimy film after use. Clean-up helps, but the container design could be improved.
