Queen Murphy Bed with Dual Storage Cabinets & LED Lights — Farmhouse Wall Bed
Product description
Farmhouse appearance with metal accents: The wall bed has a wood-grain finish, metal trim and practical handles that give it a rustic-meets-modern look. It is designed to complement bedrooms, studies, guest rooms and home offices.
Convertible cabinet and bed: Each side of the unit is a storage cabinet with interior shelving and sliding barn-style doors. The cabinet design flips open into a queen bed frame, giving you display and storage space when closed and a full sleeping surface when opened. A built-in charging station is provided for everyday device charging.
Materials and mattress compatibility: The cabinets are built from industrial-grade laminated MDF and plywood, while the internal bed frame is iron and rated to support up to 1,000 lbs. A wooden support platform is supplied so you can place a mattress directly on it — no box spring required. The unit accepts most standard queen mattresses 8–12 inches thick (approx. 59–110 lbs). Mattress is not included.
Dual gas-strut lift and pivot hardware: A heavy-duty dual gas-strut assembly assists with lifting and lowering the bed, and the engineered pivot connection ensures smooth rotation and long-term reliability.
Assembly and wall requirements: The product ships in four packages and includes detailed printed instructions, an assembly video and the necessary mounting hardware; two people are recommended for installation. Note: this wall bed is intended for mounting to standard wood stud walls (16" on center), load-bearing walls, solid walls, or concrete. Package arrival times may vary.
Pros
- Ample built-in storage with barn-door cabinets
- No box spring required; supports heavy loads
- Smooth dual gas-strut operation
Cons
- Time-consuming assembly and precise stud alignment required
- Some finish and component color details may be inconsistent
- Anchors included aren’t suitable for all wall types
VerdictThis farmhouse-style Murphy bed blends generous storage with a space-saving fold-down mattress platform. Build quality and materials are solid for the price, and the dual gas-strut system makes raising and lowering the bed straightforward. Assembly is time-consuming and alignment to studs requires care, but once installed the cabinet is sturdy, attractive, and practical for multi-use rooms.

Be patient during assembly
Measure first and expect a long build — the instructions are thorough but there are many parts. One person can do most of it, but you'll need help for a few steps. We assembled over three days after checking parts and laying everything out. If you have drywall, plan on using proper stud anchors. Our 10" mattress fits fine, though straps are near their limit.

Great for our extra room
Arrived in good condition and everything was labeled. Building took time but the directions were straightforward. Once finished the bed is sturdy and our 10" mattress fits comfortably with bedding.

Solid build for the price
We wanted an affordable Murphy bed and this fit our needs. It feels well-made and, once anchored correctly, is rock solid. Assembly took many hours (and we had to move outlets), and lining everything up with studs was fiddly. Minor gripe: some small pieces like hydraulic covers and lock hardware don't match the black frame.

Impressive result, needs two people
Very pleased with the finished look. We needed two people and had our contractor handle the wall mounting since the supplied anchors kept spinning. We did remove quarter round to sit flush, which was expected. Overall it feels sturdy and looks more expensive than it was.

Excellent fit and finish
Boxes looked abused by the carrier but nothing inside was damaged. All pieces fit together very accurately and the holes lined up perfectly. The pictorial instructions were logical and clear. End result was a very square, professional-looking frame.

Tough installation, left frustrated
This was far more difficult than expected. Several pre-drilled holes and brackets didn't meet studs, so we had to buy longer L-brackets and additional lumber to secure the top. Aligning the pistons was also frustrating and required extra effort to seat them properly.

Top-notch quality and clear guidance
Followed the video and written steps with a partner and it went smoothly. The piece looks high-quality for the cost, the lights are a nice touch, and the hinge hydraulics are very smooth. We adjusted the wall attachment for our joist spacing and it’s been reliable with regular use.

Mixed experience — assembly was rough
It looks nice and the materials feel decent, but assembly was a major effort over several days, mostly solo. The extra fasteners were helpful. I had a concerning moment with a screw that made the drill kick back, and some painted pieces showed visible touch-ups. Proceed with caution if building alone.
