ISO Pet ID Microchips — 20-Pack Mini Implants for Small Animals
Product description
This listing supplies a pack of 20 preloaded RFID microchip implants intended for animal identification across a wide range of species. The transponders are manufactured for Manruta in Germany from medical-grade bioglass, designed to remain functional for the lifetime of the animal. Each implant carries a globally unique ID code and conforms to the ISO11784/11785 FDX-B standard at 134.2 kHz, so any FDX-B reader can detect and decode the number.
The package includes 20 sterile, preloaded syringes for implantation. Needles are fine-gauge and designed to facilitate controlled placement with minimal tissue trauma. Because these come ready-to-use, they suit clinic environments and rescue operations as well as individual owners performing routine implanting.
Size guidance is provided to match animal anatomy and minimize complications: the smallest model, 1.25 x 7 mm, is intended for very small animals such as tiny fish, mice, hamsters, snakes, frogs, pigeons and similar species. The mid-size 1.4 x 8 mm implant is recommended for cats, small puppies, and medium birds (chicken, duck, owls). The larger 2.12 x 12 mm option is aimed at big dogs, horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, camels and other large animals.
After implantation register the unique ID in a trusted database to link owner details with the code — many users opt for widely reachable registries that are searchable internationally and provide 24/7 support. The expiration date printed on the packaging refers to the sterile injector and recommended shelf life for safe implantation; the microchip itself does not have a functional expiration and is intended to last the animal’s life.
Choosing the correct implant size is important for both readability and animal welfare. If in doubt, consult your veterinarian for the optimal implant selection and placement technique.
Pros
- ISO FDX-B compliant, readable by standard scanners
- German bioglass construction intended for lifetime use
- Preloaded sterile injectors for easy implantation
Cons
- Must pick the correct size for each species
- Packaging expiry applies to syringe, not the chip — can confuse buyers
- Occasional syringe loading defects reported
VerdictA reliable, cost-effective option for microchipping many species. The German bioglass implants read cleanly on ISO FDX-B scanners and come preloaded in sterile injectors for straightforward placement. Choose the correct size for each animal: the smallest implant suits tiny pets and fish, mid-size for cats and small dogs, and the largest for big dogs and farm animals. Register the unique ID in a gl

Smooth performance at a clinic event
We used these at a free nanochipping clinic and found them easy to handle. Syringes were sharp and allowed controlled insertions, which reduced stress on the birds. Suitable for high-throughput clinic use.

Mostly perfect, one syringe issue
Implanted these in adult and subadult ball pythons. Nineteen of twenty worked; one chip wasn’t seated correctly in its syringe and wouldn’t inject. The rest were easy to implant and my reader detected them fine.

Thoroughly checked and recommended
Scanned a large batch myself and they all read reliably. Two were in mismatched numbered packages but correcting the labels was simple. I plan to use these first in future jobs.

Switched from another source and saved significantly. Make sure to research where to register the codes and any registration fees before buying.

Reliable chips for multiple litters
Used across several litters with no problems. All chips scanned cleanly, needles were very sharp, and the small size works well for puppies and cats. Will reorder.

Chips perform well and I’ll buy more. You can register these with major pet recovery services, so they’re a practical, low-cost option for my mini dachshund pups.
