Guermok 6-in-1 USB-C Capture Dock for Switch 2 & Steam Deck
Product description
Overview
This 6-in-1 USB-C capture dock is built to replace a separate dock plus capture card, combining video mirroring, capture, charging, wired networking, and USB peripherals in one small unit. The package includes a full-feature HDMI cable and a 1 m full-feature USB-C cable, plus quick-start materials in the box.
Video output and capture
The dock provides HDMI output up to 4K@60Hz (YUV420) or 4K@30Hz RGB for external displays while simultaneously sending a captured stream over USB-C to a host PC. Capture formats and framerates include MJPEG (up to 4K@60, 2K@120fps, 1080P@120fps), YUY2 (up to 4K@25Hz), and XRGB (up to 1080P@60Hz). A low-latency loop-out preserves real-time monitoring while recording.
Power, networking and ports
A PD 100W input supports device charging during extended sessions (actual delivered power depends on your charger and device). The dock also features a 1000 Mbps Ethernet jack for stable wired connections and two USB-A 3.0 ports for keyboards, mice, and storage devices.
Compatibility and limits
It works with Switch 2 (Dock Mode), Steam devices, laptops, tablets, and phones that support USB-C DP Alt Mode. The unit is plug-and-play and doesn’t need additional drivers. Important limitations: HDCP-protected content cannot be captured, HDR recording is not supported, and Switch Dock Mode requires external power. For 4K@60 capture, a USB 3.0/3.2 host port on the recording computer is required.
Use cases
Intended for gamers and streamers who want a minimal footprint, for professionals testing displays and systems, or for travelers who need a compact, multifunction hub. It’s useful for live streaming with OBS/XSplit/Streamlabs, console mirroring to a TV, and recording gameplay while maintaining a low-latency preview on an external screen.
Pros
- Combines HDMI mirroring and concurrent USB-C capture
- PD 100W passthrough plus Gigabit Ethernet
- Compact, plug-and-play design with included cables
Cons
- Cannot capture HDCP-protected content
- No HDR capture support
- Switch Dock Mode needs external power; 4K@60 requires USB 3.x host
VerdictThis compact hub merges a dock and capture card into one portable unit, delivering reliable 4K@60 HDMI output, concurrent USB-C capture, wired networking, and high-wattage charging. It handles a broad set of use cases — travel docking, livestreaming, display testing, and content creation — with generally stable performance and easy setup. Limitations include no HDR capture, inability to record HDC

HDCP errors resolved after firmware
I saw repeated HDCP errors on my Mac, contacted support, and they sent a firmware update within minutes. After flashing the update it became reliable.

All-in-one docking and capture tested
Combines dock and capture in one unit. Mirroring to TV while recording over USB-C produced clean 4K@60 results and stable captures at high frame rates using OBS.

Feature-rich hub, great value
Arrived with box, quick guide, HDMI and 1 m USB-C cables. Plug-and-play on Windows and Switch; 4K@60 mirroring was smooth and 1080P@120 capture worked well with OBS. Remember the source needs DP Alt Mode and no HDR support.

Practical hub, could look nicer
Useful set of ports for daily laptop use. It works reliably and charges my MacBook, though I’d prefer a more attractive finish. Ethernet works but isn’t essential for everyone.

Versatile 6-in-1 hub with strong dock performance
Well-built and neatly laid out. I ran Switch 2 in dock mode with simultaneous 4K@60 capture and saw no perceptible latency. OBS recording stayed stable and PD plus Ethernet handled long streaming sessions.

Handy for drone video and recordings
Used it to display my drone controller feed on a laptop and record the session. Must plug the USB-C video cable into the controller before powering up, but otherwise it worked flawlessly for live view and recording.

Reliable casting hub with included cable
4K@60 HDMI output is crisp and responsive. Gigabit Ethernet reduced latency versus Wi‑Fi, the USB-A ports handled peripherals fine, and PD 100W pass-through kept my laptop topped up. Capture is excellent, though pay attention to host port requirements for 4K@60.
