Reindeer Candy Bar Treats: Adorable Holiday Dessert Ideas

Today we’re making adorable Rudolph candy bars—perfect as party treats or cake and cupcake toppers.

This wasn’t the tutorial I originally planned; a little experiment went sideways. After a few ideas and a very messy kitchen, we settled on the simplest solution: attaching mini candy bars to lollipop sticks. Sometimes the cutest results are the simplest.

How to Make Easy Rudolph Candy Bar Treats

We stepped away from cakes for this one, though these little reindeer work wonderfully as cupcake toppers. If you want a tiny bite of festive fun, this is the project for you.

Gather the reindeer parts: mini candy bars for heads, red candies for noses, pretzels for antlers, a food coloring pen for eyes, melted chocolate or candy melts for “glue,” and lollipop sticks.

Start by attaching the candy bar “heads” to the lollipop sticks. Make a small hole in the candy bar and insert a chocolate-dipped lollipop stick so it holds securely. Some bars are soft enough to push the stick in directly; firmer candies, like Mini Twix, may need a toothpick to create the initial hole.

The rectangular bars in these photos are Mini Twix; the smaller square bites are mini Snickers and Three Musketeers. Rectangular bars tend to have the sticks placed in the center back, while square bites work well with sticks inserted near a corner.

Next, shape the pretzels into antler forms. Break pretzels into the desired shapes, lay them on waxed paper, and add a dab of melted chocolate to the ends to act as glue.

Press the antlers onto the top of each candy bar head and let them rest on the melted chocolate for 10–15 minutes so the glue sets while you assemble the rest.

To finish the faces, attach a red candy nose with a bit of melted chocolate (or pipe a small dot of buttercream) and draw two small eyes using a food coloring pen.

And that’s it—simple, quick, and irresistibly cute. Here are our finished reindeer friends:

Fun Serving Options

We arranged ours on a styrofoam base covered with tissue paper, decorated with tinsel and candy, and finished with a polka-dotted ribbon for a festive touch. The lollipop sticks make an attractive display, but you can leave them off and serve the reindeer as standalone treats.

These candy bar reindeer also make charming cupcake toppers and seasonal ice-cream decorations—perfect for both kids and adults at holiday gatherings.

That’s all for now—give these a try this winter. They’re a festive, easy party food that’s fun to make and even more fun to eat. Enjoy!
