Party Food
This chipped beef cheese ball is ideal for parties, potlucks, and holiday gatherings. The recipe yields about 24 servings, so it’s perfect for sharing.
Cheese balls pair well with a wide variety of crackers and also taste great with pretzels. To avoid breaking crackers, provide a small cheese spreader for guests—this makes serving much neater and easier.

If you’re putting together an appetizer spread, consider pairing the cheese ball with other favorites such as sweet and sticky chicken wings or a creamy Mexican-style sour cream dip—both are simple to prepare and complement the cheese ball nicely.

Easy To Make Chipped Beef Cheese Ball
This cheese ball comes together quickly. Combine the main ingredients in a large bowl and use a hand mixer to blend until smooth. Shape the mixture into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and chill so it firms up and is easier to handle.
After chilling, mix the remaining dried beef and green onions, then remove the plastic wrap and press that mixture evenly onto the outside of the cheese ball. This adds texture, flavor, and a festive look.
Serve with your choice of crackers or pretzels. For a gluten-free option, offer fresh vegetables like celery, cucumber slices, or bell pepper strips.
