Spiral Drill Paint Mixer — 15.75" Paddle for 1–5 Gallon Buckets
Product description
Includes one 15.75-inch spiral mixer paddle designed for handheld drills. The head uses a four-blade spiral configuration that draws material upward to create an even, bubble-reduced mixture.
The mixing head measures about 3.15 inches across and is sized to cover containers from one gallon up to five gallons. The extended shaft keeps the drill chuck away from splashes and gives enough reach for most common bucket depths.
A standard hex shank provides a secure, slip-resistant connection to most cordless and corded drills, turning them into capable stirrers for paint, mortar, mud, grout and similar materials.
Constructed from reinforced, zinc-plated steel, the paddle is rust-resistant and built to withstand higher-torque tasks. It’s intended for demanding jobs in home renovation, automotive touch-ups, and woodworking where a tough metal tool is needed.
The blade geometry minimizes splatter during mixing and the smooth metal surface wipes or rinses clean easily. For best results rinse in water or wipe down after each use; a brush can help remove material trapped in weld gaps when mixing heavier or older products.
Pros
- Strong spiral action for thorough, bottom-up mixing
- Long 15.75" shaft keeps drill clear of splashes
- Zinc-plated steel resists rust and heavy use
Cons
- Creates a powerful vortex — splash risk if run too fast
- May require a high-torque drill for very thick materials
- Welded gaps can trap paint and need careful cleaning
VerdictA rugged, long-reach drill attachment that powers through paint and thicker compounds. Delivers fast, bottom-up mixing and resists corrosion, though it can generate a strong vortex and needs thorough cleaning after use.

Fits standard drills
Haven't used it yet, but it looks compatible with regular drills and seems well made.

Handles heavy coatings with a strong drill
Needed a high-torque drill for roof coating, but the metal paddle handled the thick material and mixed it effectively.

Does the work quickly
Attaches snugly to my drill. Easy to use and saved me time on the job.

Runs quickly — use a slow trigger
It mixes extremely fast. On my Makita I kept the speed low — otherwise it made a huge vortex and splashed paint. Make sure the paddle reaches the bottom to avoid a mess.

Mixes paint well
Performs great for mixing paint!

Well-built and robust
Still gathering supplies for a backsplash project, but the stirrer feels sturdy and should handle thinset and grout without trouble.

Works well but needs diligent cleaning
Attaches easily and stirs gallon to 3-gallon containers well, but it’s a bit short for a full 5-gallon pail. Paint can lodge in weld gaps, so scrub it after use to avoid dried residue or color carryover.

No-frills mixer — perfect for 1-gallon latex
Solid and effective. Made a clean vortex in 1-gallon latex with no splatter. Hex shaft stops slipping and the smooth metal cleans up easily. Very clumpy, old paint can leave chunks inside the cage that need tapping out.
