Wooden Vinyl Record Crate with Reversible 'Now Playing' Panel
Product description
Reversible display panel: The front face doubles as a display stand — one side is laser-engraved with a “NOW PLAYING” graphic to showcase the album cover currently on the platter; flip it over and the unit reads as a classic wooden crate. The front is cut with a low, angled profile so record covers sit slightly forward for easy viewing and quick access.
Sleeve-friendly interior: The usable internal length measures 14.2 inches, leaving comfortable space for standard 12" LP jackets, thick double-LP sets, and gatefolds protected in outer sleeves. The height and internal support are designed to keep records standing upright to reduce edge wear, warping, and sleeve bending over time.
Construction and load capacity: Panels are made from 9mm thick high-density engineered wood, producing a rigid box that resists flex under load. The manufacturer rates the crate to support up to 50 pounds so it will handle heavy 180g pressings, multi-disc collections, and boxed sets without obvious sagging or bowing.
Adjustable organization: Two removable iron divider bars slide into slots to form three compartments. This modular system allows separation by genre, artist, or playlist, and keeps partially filled sections from leaning. Dividers can be removed entirely when you need a single larger compartment for oversized items.
Assembly details: The kit comes with pre-drilled pilot holes and countersunk screws so fasteners sit flush with the panels. All required hardware and basic instructions are included for a straight-forward, tool-light build. The flush mounting reduces snagging and gives a tidy finished appearance.
Protective feet and transport: Nine adhesive 2cm rubber pads are supplied for the base to prevent scratches, lift the crate off the surface, and stabilize it during use. Smooth ergonomic cutout handles on the sides make it simple to carry the crate between listening stations when needed.
Finish and secondary uses: The unit is finished in an odorless vintage brown tone that complements farmhouse, mid-century, and industrial interiors. Remove the divider bars and it doubles as a general wooden storage bin for sheet music, oversized books, office files, or other media, making it a versatile piece beyond vinyl storage.

Solid crate with angled display face
I use this to hold 12" albums and to display the front cover while playing. The brown finish is attractive and the panels feel sturdy. The 14.2" interior length gives room for sleeved records and double LPs; the dividers help keep albums upright. Pre-drilled holes and flush screws made assembly quick, and the rubber feet and cutout handles are useful finishing touches.

Dual-purpose crate that upgraded our book corner
I bought this crate for oversize kids' books and it immediately beat the old cardboard box. The dividers slide into floor slots so I left them in case I switch it back to records. It’s much sturdier and nicer looking than the cardboard we used before. My measurements: about 12" tall, roughly 14 15/16" wide and 11 7/8" deep, with a low front of about 5 1/8"; interior width sits around 14" — a comfortable fit for larger items.

Great look, just take your time assembling
The vintage brown tone and 'NOW PLAYING' lettering give this crate a genuine record-shop feel. The removable metal dividers make organizing easy and the handles help when it’s loaded. Assembly requires attention since the instructions refer to lettered pieces that aren’t marked; locate recessed screw holes first to avoid having to redo panels. Rubber feet protect surfaces nicely.

Attractive, roomy crate that secures many albums
This rustic-stained crate holds up to around 60 records and was simple to put together with a screwdriver. The brown finish looks good, side handles make carrying easy, and it keeps albums from tumbling. Rated capacity is 50 pounds which seems accurate — it feels heavy-duty and well constructed for regular use.

Smart design hampered by weak packaging and finish
Design is solid but the shipment arrived with multiple damaged pieces. Protective packing was minimal so corners suffered; the outer carton was intact suggesting damage happened before packing. The material is a pressed/composite board with a paper or laminate wood finish rather than solid wood, which showed fraying on edges. After a dry run, assembly took about 15 minutes.

A hit with a young collector — display-oriented and sturdy
I bought this for my teenage record fan and he loves having a dedicated spot to show off current favorites. The wider fit accommodates sleeved 12" LPs, dividers keep albums upright, and the reversible 'NOW PLAYING' front is his favorite feature. Cutout handles and rubber pads add to the crate’s practicality; overall it feels well made for daily use.

Lovely result once assembled — thoughtful extras included
The finished crate looks fantastic on my shelf and I’d probably buy a few more to match. Packaging felt careful and the inclusion of record-care tips was a welcome bonus. A few panels showed small cracks on arrival, which was disappointing, but nothing prevented assembly and the assembled piece feels solid. Once you figure out the panel orientation, putting it together is straightforward.

Holds records well but watch the screws
The crate stores records vertically and the compartment layout works well when you have smaller loads. However, the pre-drilled holes in the pressed wood and the small screw size made several screws strip while I assembled it. Even with some stripped screws it functions and looks good, but installation can be frustrating if you’re not careful.
