Caraway 12" (4.5 qt) Non-Stick Ceramic Sauté Pan with Lid
Product description
What you get: one 12-inch (4.5 quart) ceramic-coated sauté pan with a matching lid.
Materials and finish: the cooking surface is a naturally slick ceramic non-stick coating formulated without PTFE, PFOA, PFAS, lead or cadmium. The exterior is colored enamel and the lid is fitted with a small vent to release steam.
Dimensions and handling: the pan measures 12 inches across and holds about 4.5 quarts — roomy enough for family-sized recipes, sauces, and dishes that need stirring. The construction is substantial, so the pan has noticeable heft and sits flat on glass and standard cooktops.
Use and care: designed to perform on low-to-medium heat; a small amount of oil or butter helps with release. Avoid very high, sustained heat and abrasive scrubbing to preserve the surface. The handle is metal and can become warm near its attachment point, so use caution when moving the pan off-heat or when baking in the oven. Oven-safe up to 550°F for finishing or roasting.
Pros
- Ceramic non-stick free of PTFE/PFOA/PFAS and heavy metals
- Even heating and roomy 4.5 qt capacity
- Oven-safe to 550°F and easy to clean with gentle care
Cons
- Heavier than thin skillets
- Handle area can become hot during use
- Requires careful heat control and maintenance
VerdictThis 12" ceramic sauté pan delivers a naturally slick surface without PTFE, PFOA, PFAS, lead, or cadmium. It performs well for searing, sauces, stir-fries and baking when used within care guidelines — moderate heat and a little oil. The pan is weighty and feels durable, the lid vents steam, and the unit is oven-safe to 550°F. Expect excellent release and easy washing when handled properly, though

Excellent release, heavy base
Fantastic non-stick performance when treated right. It retains heat well; avoid harsh scrubbing to keep the surface intact.

Handled with extreme care yet developed chips
I loved the color and size and was meticulous about care — no sprays, gentle wiping, only wooden and silicone utensils. After a few months I noticed scrapes and chips on the interior despite careful use. Very disappointing for an item I took extra care of.

Really impressed — sturdy and even heating
This pan quickly became a favorite. It’s heavy-duty, distributes heat evenly, and cleans up without fuss. Treat it gently and it should last a long time.

Cooks well but warranty registration is flawed
This pan sears and browns beautifully and cleans up easily. It isn’t overly heavy, which is good for arthritic hands. However, attempting to register the warranty online sent me in a loop that never completed. For the cost, the registration process should work smoothly.

Didn’t find it truly non-stick for my cooking
In my experience it wasn't as non-stick as hoped during regular use, though the pan size itself is convenient.

Great size and easy maintenance
The non-stick finish is very effective. For stubborn residue, a paste of baking soda and water removes buildup without harming the surface. The 12" diameter lets recipes come together more easily than a shallow fry pan. The lid vents steam well. Be aware the metal handle can get warm near the pan — expected given oven use capability.

Looks great and stands up to daily use
I love how it performs for stir-fries, potstickers and roasted vegetables. The non-stick works without chemical coatings, and if the base starts to brown I splash a little water or broth to loosen food. The vented lid is handy. The set is a little heavy, so those with wrist issues should be careful, but it cleans up easily and was packaged well.

Very pleased — helpful customer support
This is my go-to pan: big, non-stick, attractive and simple to clean. Follow the care instructions closely; I had an issue from excessive heat that fell outside warranty, but customer service was prompt, professional and solved my concern. I’ve bought additional pieces from the same brand since.

Needed a short learning curve, now it delivers
After researching and narrowing to a few options, I bought this 12" as a holiday treat. It arrives well packed and feels solid. The lid seals nicely for cooking bacon and sausages. Note: it runs cooler than my old pan, so I crank the heat a bit higher than usual for things like pancakes. Once warmed it heats evenly and sits flat on my glass cooktop. Overall very pleased after adjusting my routine.

Arrived with a loose handle; follow seller channels
Bought this as a gift but the handle was loose out of the box; the shipping box showed no damage. After contacting the brand, I learned the unit came from an unauthorized seller. Frustrating experience and a reminder to confirm authorized sources.

I wish the lid were clear
I constantly lift the lid to check eggs and sauces, which releases heat and moisture. A glass lid would let me monitor cooking without peeking. Aside from that gripe, I like the pan itself.
