Both sides are given an anti-slip texture so equipment stays put and the mat is simple to maintain — wipe clean with a damp cloth. A mild manufacturing scent is normal and will dissipate after a few days in an open area.
Sizing and protection: at 30" x 60" this mat provides roughly 56% more area than a standard 24" x 48" mat, offering extra room for adjustments and accessories. The 6 mm thickness offers about 50% more cushioning than typical 4 mm options, helping to blunt vibration, reduce noise transfer and protect flooring from indentations and scratches.

Nice, hefty mat for a small treadmill
