Marine
Double-Braided Nylon Boat Anchor Rope with 316 Stainless Thimble
Product description
What’s included: This anchor line comes as a double-braided nylon rode, finished with a professionally whipped eye that houses a corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel thimble and a heavy D-style bow shackle for attaching to anchors or chain.
Materials and construction: The rope is made from marine-grade nylon in a double-braided weave for strength and flexibility. Ends are heat-treated and whipped at both the throat and the bitter end to prevent fraying. The stainless thimble and bow shackle are rated for marine environments to limit corrosion.
Sizes and capacities: Offered in common boating lengths and diameters suitable for recreational craft. For example, the 100 ft x 1/2 in line is rated with a high breaking strength and a recommended working load appropriate for boats up to roughly 35 ft, with controlled stretch and shock-absorbing properties.
How it’s used: Attach the shackle or splice your chosen connector to create a standard rode with chain or use the supplied thimble and shackle as the termination for direct anchor connection. The rope’s softness reduces wear on hands and on finishes while the nylon’s elasticity helps absorb gust loads and snatch forces.
Performance and care: The rope resists saltwater, UV exposure, oil, and biological degradation, extending service life when rinsed and stored properly. Its combination of tensile capacity and controlled give makes it suitable as primary or secondary anchor rode for many weekend and coastal boaters.

Works well as a stern rode
Used as a secondary stern anchor rode overnight. Held the stern steady on our 30' boat and performed as expected.

Good overall, with some caveats
Solid rode but I recommend choosing a thicker diameter if your boat sits on the border of sizing charts. The 3/8 in felt a touch light for moderate conditions so I upgraded to 1/2 in. Also noticed some color leaching after repeated wettings.
