Treestand Retractable Bow & Gear Hoist — 33 ft Retractable Reel
Product description
Automatic retracting design: The unit functions as a self-retracting lifting reel that clips to your treestand or belt. As you climb, the line can be fed out and then pulled up to retrieve your gear at elevation, with the mechanism returning the rope into the housing.
Line, capacity and hardware: The hoist is built with a 33-foot length of 4 mm thickened rope and is rated for roughly a 110 lb load. It uses a folding hand crank to help take up slack and reduce knotting, and a metal clip/attachment point secures the reel to clothing or stand points.
Quiet and compact operation: The case and internal rewind are designed for low-noise operation so retraction and lifting are less likely to disturb game. The compact housing tucks against a belt or the stand while climbing.
Durability notes: Materials include the reinforced 4 mm cord and a compact plastic housing with metal attachment hardware. The folding crank is intended to maintain tidy rope retrieval. For longer service life, lift loads by threading them onto the rope rather than pulling solely by the outer handle.
Usage tips: Attach the reel to your belt or the stand, feed the rope out to clip your bow or pack, then use the crank or steady tension to lift items up. When reeling the line back in, maintain slight tension so the rope layers properly inside the case and avoids bunching.
Pros
- Automatic rewind saves energy and time
- 33 ft rope and 110 lb capacity for most hunting needs
- Folding crank helps prevent tangles
Cons
- Plastic housing can be vulnerable over extended use
- Rope may show fraying after months of heavy use
- Attachment hardware reported to fail by some users
VerdictThis retractable bow and gear hoist is a handy, lightweight solution for hauling equipment to a treestand. Its 33 ft, 4 mm line and folding crank help prevent tangles, and the automatic rewind makes raising and stowing kit easier and quieter. It performs well for routine field use, but some users report fraying rope, plastic housing wear, or weak attachment hardware over time. Good for hunters who

Broke quickly
Both attachment carabiners failed when I clipped to my saddle. I wouldn’t trust it for heavy or critical loads.

Good for heavy feeders, rope shows wear
I use it to raise a heavy bird feeder and it handles the weight well, but after several months the cord began to fray slightly.

Too glossy for my taste
Function seems fine but the housing finish is very shiny and looks cheaper than I expected.

Safety boost
Solid unit that reduced my worry about dropping gear or risking more during a slip while exiting the stand.

Works but questionable longevity
Does the job now, though the rope already has some frays and the plastic casing feels like it could separate if stressed.

Looks promising
Nice appearance and seems like it will handle routine use without trouble.

Makes stand access easier
Perfect for getting gear up while using a saddle setup. Clip to my belt and climb; keep a bit of tension when reeling so the line stores neatly.

Underwhelming build
Smaller and flimsier than expected. Might work for light tasks, but not what I needed it for.
