BLIKA 1/8 in (3.18 mm) Black T316 Stainless Steel Cable — 1000 ft with Cutter
Product description
Applications: The black finish keeps the line visually low-profile for lighting, stage and scenery rigging, shade sails and wire balustrades. It’s often used in interior stair and balcony rail systems to create a streamlined, contemporary appearance that complements darker paint and décor tones. The material needs very little upkeep once installed.
Size and construction: This product is a true 1/8-inch (3.18 mm) steel wire rope with a published breaking strength of about 1,850 pounds. Built in a 7x7 pattern, the cable is semi-flexible, smoothed to remove burrs and neatly coiled for shipment. Unlike undersized 3 mm alternatives, this cable is manufactured to retain its form after cuts and provide predictable performance.
Material and finish: The wire is manufactured from marine-grade T316 stainless steel with a black oxidized surface treatment that enhances corrosion and wear resistance and helps protect against weathering. The finish is applied to the strands and is designed for use in traction, pulling, strapping, landscaping and architectural applications, including coastal settings and DIY deck railing systems.
Installation notes: Suitable for a wide range of uses — shade structures, umbrellas and sails, balustrades, architectural rigging and green-wall frameworks. Termination hardware for swage fittings must be secured with a proper swaging or crimping tool. For best results when terminating or fitting, use an appropriate hydraulic crimper and a dedicated cable cutter sold separately.
Safety tension: The nominal safe working tension for this 1/8" cable is 260 pounds, a figure tuned to meet common U.S. residential and commercial standards and to pass the 4-inch sphere deflection test required by many building codes. That tension helps ensure adequate tautness while staying within the safe-load expectations of T316 stainless steel.
Package list and care: Shipments include one 1000-foot (1/8") spool of stainless cable and one cable cutter. Stainless steel offers high resistance to the elements but is not immune; minimal maintenance extends service life. If you have any issues, customer support will offer assistance, and there is a 30-day satisfaction window for refund or replacement.

Strong, coating on strands
Very strong steel cable on a neat spool, but it will unwind unless taped. The black finish is applied to individual wires, so wrap cut ends to stop fraying. Included cutters work with effort; consider a heavier cutter for many cuts.
