Foneso Clip-On LED Desk Lamp — USB Reading Light (Black)
Product description
What’s included: the clip-on lamp with a flexible gooseneck and attached USB cable. The adapter is not included; plug the USB into a power bank, laptop, or a 5V/2A USB adapter for safe operation.
Light system: the head contains 48 LED beads arranged in a ring-style array that delivers steady, non-flickering illumination. You can pick from three color temperatures — warm (≈3000K), neutral/warm white (≈4500K) and cool white (≈6500K) — and each temperature provides ten dimming levels for a total of 30 selectable brightness settings. A memory function restores your last used mode after power is reapplied.
Build and materials: the clamp is metal and opens to about 2.36 inches, letting you attach the lamp to desks, headboards, vanities, workstations and more. The arm is a flexible gooseneck that can be bent and twisted to aim light where you need it, while the lamp head and control housing are durable plastic.
Usage: designed for bedside reading, study, laptop work, crafting, makeup, video or detailed hobbies. The LED ring is engineered to minimize glare, shadows and ghosting for more comfortable, longer use. Because it runs off USB, it’s portable and compatible with many power sources but requires a matching 5V/2A adapter to avoid damage to the controls or LEDs.
Energy and safety: as an LED-based lamp it uses far less power than incandescent bulbs and contains no mercury. The efficient LEDs reduce electricity use and are intended to be kinder to the environment while delivering bright, consistent lighting.
Pros

- Strong metal clip and adjustable gooseneck
- Energy-efficient, flicker-free LED output
Cons
- Requires a 5V/2A USB power source (adapter not included)

VerdictA flexible, energy-saving clip light that delivers many color and brightness options with a sturdy clamp and eye-friendly LEDs. Ideal for readers, hobbyists, and night-time use where a bright, adjustable light is needed, provided you can supply a compatible 5V/2A USB power source.

Handy and effective
I mainly use the bright white mode for precision tasks. The clamp is strong and the multiple settings give flexibility. A very handy gadget.

Great for arts and crafts
This lamp has a clip that lets me aim light where I’m working. Several modes let me shift tone and brightness so I can get the exact light I need for intricate projects. Very useful for close-up work.

Solid, functional light
Feels heavy-duty and offers three tones with a wide dimming range. The arm is a bit long for my taste but still works well and the clip holds tight.

Compact and dependable
Perfect size for a bedside table or tight reading nook. Looks neat, feels solid, and the multiple dim levels are handy. It’s stable and flicker-free. My only gripe is that I wish the cord were longer or that it had battery power, but otherwise a great little lamp.

Small ring light with big output
I wanted a compact ring light to clip on my desk for filming art and to spotlight detailed work. It plugs into USB and has an inline controller. The clamp opens wide enough for my desk, the brightness steps on each mode are useful, and the gooseneck stays where I position it. It seems sturdy so far and gives a lot of light for the price.

Versatile, affordable, and gentle on the eyes
The 48 LEDs provide strong illumination and the three temperatures with ten dim levels each let me customize light for reading, makeup or computer work. The 360° gooseneck directs light exactly where it’s needed and the clip grips securely. USB power is convenient and the memory function brings back the last setting. The non-flickering output is easy on the eyes, and overall the lamp offers features you usually find on pricier models.

Durable and high quality
Bought this for a makeup vanity in late 2022 and it’s still going strong in May 2024. I use it daily for an hour or more; sometimes it flickers briefly, but it keeps running. The cooler and warmer light options are great for different times of day. I’d repurchase this when it finally wears out.

Lifesaver during recovery
After a serious injury I spent two weeks in hospital and this lamp made late-night reading, crochet and jotting notes possible. The clamp secures easily and the three color options plus dimming let me pick a very low night light or a brighter setting for close work. The controls sit near the USB plug so it’s easy to reach when plugged in nearby. I’ve had it a few months now and bring it along when I travel; it’s become a regular item in my bag.

Perfect for hobby work
I use this daily at my hobby bench and haven’t found a flaw. It provides good light and does the job well.

Smaller than pictured
This is more of a headboard or close-reading lamp than a broad desk fixture. It’s brighter than I expected for its size but has a narrow coverage area. I wanted it for small-model work and must keep my project very close to the lamp, which limits workspace. A slightly longer neck would help, and being USB-only restricts placement without a power source.
