ILM Dual-Visor Flip-Up Modular Full-Face Motorcycle Helmet (902/902L)
Product description
The ILM 902/902L modular helmet is built around a high-resistance ABS outer shell and meets or exceeds FMVSS-218 and DOT safety standards. The helmet uses a micrometrically adjustable retention strap so you can fine-tune the fit quickly and securely.
Inside you'll find lightweight, soft padding and removable cheek pads and liner that can be taken out for cleaning. The helmet includes an integrated flip-down sun visor and a wide, clear main visor treated to resist scratches and fogging. The modular flip-up chin bar lets you convert between full-face and open-face configurations with a simple lift.
The design emphasizes a slim, aerodynamic profile to cut wind noise while riding. The construction and vents are intended to help airflow, and the helmet features a rear-mounted LED light for added visibility (note: the LED requires double AA batteries). Available in a range of standard sizes so riders can select the proper fit.

Acceptable option, but not flawless
The helmet looks sleek and feels light, so neck fatigue is minimal. The inner sun visor isn’t polarized and can be ineffective against direct sunrise/sunset glare. The top visor seal is thin, causing wind whistle; I added rubber weather stripping which helped. Wind noise makes it less ideal for motovlogging. Fit is comfortable and hugs the face without squeezing.

Solid fit but wind noise when vents open
Helmet fits well and the back light is bright. I noticed a lot of wind noise with vents open, but you adapt. I plan to add a dark visor to reduce sun glare.

Straightforward user feedback
Solid helmet for the money and it looks great. Easy to put on and remove, fits true to size, and the visor operates naturally. The internal sun visor is handy. Inner pads are removable for washing or Bluetooth installation. The rear light offers selectable patterns and runs on two double-A batteries. Venting could be improved — it can be noisy on the freeway despite the chin curtain.

My favorite helmet so far
Really like this helmet — the fit is great and the vents work well. Very happy with it.

Wear a helmet — it can save a life
My teenage son wore this when he missed a stop sign on his e-bike and struck a car. The helmet absorbed the impact into the car’s panel and came out without visible damage. He was fine. We bought the same model immediately and are very grateful.

Super comfortable to wear and I like the LED at the back. Very pleased with how it feels on longer rides.

Measure and size up for a perfect fit
I measured my head and ordered one size larger than charted; the large fits perfectly and is very comfortable. I can wear earbuds and even have hair extensions with no irritation. Excellent padding and a convenient flip sun visor — a great all-around pick for me.

Good for cool evening rides
Used the ILM-902L in cooler weather and it fit like a glove. Wind noise is well controlled with a large windscreen and there was no wobble. The quick-release buckle and sun visor lever are easy to use. The rear light works as advertised. The main visor fogs quickly at low speeds; I kept it open under about 35 mph. For colder rides I’d recommend a heated visor solution.

Good value and comfortable, sizing varies
Works well for everyday use and is comfortable. Ventilation is average. Sizing was off for me — I ordered large then exchanged for XL which fits great. Would buy again as a spare; for my primary helmet I might spend more.

Comfortable and protective; survived a crash
Used this for scooter rides — fog can build when stopped but vents clear it once moving. The rear light is helpful at night. Fit is snug for some head shapes; I measure as a medium and it was tight. Update: I had a bad spill while wearing full gear and this helmet. The rear LED visor popped out and some plastic broke, but the padding absorbed the impact and I walked away without a concussion. It protected my head.

LED would not power up
I installed the batteries but the rear LED did not light. Simple and short — it didn’t work for me.

Happy with fit, function, and styling
Buying helmets online can be risky, but this one impressed me. True-to-size, lightweight, and operates smoothly. It stays secure at higher speeds. I went matte black and added a dark outer visor and flair — looks great. The rear light is useful, though the battery compartment feels a bit cheap. Noise is about what I expect on a naked bike at highway speeds.

Comfortable fit with handy features
I don’t usually review items, but safety gear matters. This helmet is very comfortable for me — I ordered a small and the padding is snug. The rear blinking light is a nice safety touch for night riding, and the internal sun visor pops up and down smoothly via a side lever. The chin section flips up solidly. Quality exceeded my expectations for the cost. I’ll report back after a long ride.
