Mini Algae Discs — Sinking Diet Wafers for Snails, Shrimp & Bottom Fish
Product description
Nutrient composition: Each mini disc blends spirulina, fish meal and a variety of dried plants and vegetables to create a rounded algae-based feed. The recipe emphasizes recognizable, natural components and no copper-containing additives.
Target species and feeding method: These wafers are shaped and sized for snails, shrimp and other bottom-feeding aquarium inhabitants. Drop a disc into the tank and it sinks quickly to the substrate so bottom-dwellers can graze without surface competition.
Protein and nutrition facts: The product guarantees a minimum of 30% crude protein to support maintenance and growth in small aquatic pets. The plant and vegetable content supplies fiber and supplementary micronutrients.
Packaging and sizes: Available in three bag sizes — 1.5 oz (approx. 42.5 g), 3 oz and 9 oz — the packaging keeps discs dry and is suitable for hobbyists with single tanks or multi-tank setups. Use whole discs for multiple animals or break them into portions for individual snails and shrimp.

Solid and tidy
My snails eat these without fouling the water. A bag lasts me for a couple of months.

Ramshorns approve
My ramshorn snails absolutely enjoy them. I’ll be buying more.

Happy mollusks
My snails eagerly eat them. When I use a feeding box my goldfish try to reach the discs too, so they’re clearly appealing to multiple species.

Plenty for my otos and shrimp
Both my otocinclus and neocaridina shrimp go after these wafers. The pack contains a good quantity for routine feedings.

Good for shrimp, modify for snails
Baby shrimp attacked these right away. Larger snails struggle to reach the whole disc, so I crush one a little on a stone to spread the powder near the waterline — that helps.

Snail ignored it, shrimp devoured them
I tried these for a nerite I recently added. The snail seemed uninterested and mostly passed by the disc, but my neocaridina shrimp loved it and even some tetras picked at it. I appreciate the simple, readable ingredients and I’ve been growing algae and biofilm as extra options just in case.

Reduced plant grazing, but small size
These have cut down on snails nibbling plants in my tank. I keep five snails and wish each puck were a bit larger.

Healthy, copper-free option
First time buying wafers for our new mystery snail. The disc was about dime-sized, copper-free and made from good ingredients. We offered half at first; a quarter daily plus fresh veggies should be enough for one snail. Would recommend.
