Paula's Choice RESIST SPF 30 Mineral Wrinkle-Defense Face Sunscreen
Product description
Paula's Choice RESIST Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 is a tinted, matte facial moisturizer that offers broad-spectrum sun protection using mineral filters. The formula includes antioxidants and resveratrol to help support skin repair and combat signs of photoaging while protecting against future UV damage.
Formulated for normal, oily, and combination skin types, this fragrance-free lotion is lightweight and non-greasy. The tint helps neutralize redness and prevents a white cast often seen with mineral sunscreens. It’s intended to be worn alone or as a primer under makeup to provide a smooth, shine-free finish.
The product is sold in both sample/travel sizes and larger full-size tubes, making it easy to try before committing to the regular size. The texture spreads easily with fingers, absorbs quickly, and a small amount typically covers the face. For extended sun exposure, reapply as directed.
Ingredients highlight mineral UV filters (zinc-based), a blend of antioxidants, and resveratrol. The packaging contains the tinted moisturizer only; no separate applicators or tools are included. Routine use: apply daily to face and neck, allow to set before layering makeup, and cleanse thoroughly at the end of the day.

VerdictThis lightweight, fragrance-free mineral sunscreen combines zinc-based UV filters with antioxidants and a sheer tint to protect and improve the look of aging or oily-prone skin. Most users praise its oil-control and skin-smoothing effect, though a few report it can leave a waxy feel that need

My go-to daily sunscreen
My favorite after trying many tinted products. I stopped wearing foundation because this gives a perfect matte finish and the tint removes any white cast. It doesn’t pill or cake, lasts a long time, and you need only a small amount. No complaints.

Lifeline for oily complexions
I adore this sunscreen. High in zinc oxide, it goes on barely-there and sets quickly. Once absorbed it feels weightless and controls oil better than any other facial SPF I've tried. It also plays nicely with a light powder foundation and doesn’t cake. The brand offers a travel/sample size, which made it easy to test before buying a full tube.

Sheer tint that mattifies and calms redness
I bought the larger size and only started using it recently. My routine: moisturizer, primer, this SPF, then a tinted moisturizer. It mattifies well, reduces slight redness, and dries down smoothly. I’m very fair and burn easily, and it layers without clogging pores or causing breakouts. A little goes a long way — it looks darker from the tube than it does on skin.

Too small for the cost
Way overpriced for the tiny tube. It’s shorter than my index finger and barely lasted one use. Be warned.

Natural glow for oily T-zone
My T-zone gets oily, but this is moisturizing without feeling greasy. It gives a subtle, natural glow rather than a flat matte look. Coverage is sheer, so don’t expect full concealing, but the tint evens skin and smooths texture. I use a dime-sized amount, massage it in, and it dries down nicely for travel and reapplication.

Let-down after initial promise
I tried the travel size, loved it, then bought a full tube. Pros: no white cast, matches fair pink undertones, spreads nicely and dries matte, and contains resveratrol for aging skin. Con: it can leave a waxy residue that requires double cleansing, and after extended use I experienced irritation.

Saviour for oily, acne-prone skin
I have extremely oily, hormonally blemished skin and live in a humid area. Many matte claims fail me by midday, but this product controls shine better than any other I’ve tried. I was skeptical at first but it became my go-to — lightweight, manageable, and kinder to my skin than heavier formulas.

Feels like a lightweight BB alternative
I have very pale, sensitive, combination skin and struggled to find an SPF that didn’t irritate. I also prefer cruelty-free and as-natural-as-possible options. This one finally worked without breakouts or reactions. It gives light coverage, feels gentle, and provides reliable sun protection.

My daily go-to
After years of searching this is my favorite daily face sunscreen. Great texture, very lightweight, matte without looking flat, and it doesn’t settle into fine lines. I wear it every day and have not burned while using it.
