32.6cc Gas T-Post Driver — Portable 2-Stroke Pile Driver
Product description
High-efficiency powertrain: Fitted with a 32.6cc single-cylinder 2-stroke engine, this T-post driver delivers impact energy in the 20–45 J range and an impact frequency in the neighborhood of 1200–2200 impacts per minute, enabling fast insertion of standard T-posts. The motor is air-cooled via multiple vents in the housing designed to keep operating temperatures in check during extended runs.
Fuel and capacity: A translucent 0.23 gallon (approx.) fuel tank is built into the unit so you can visually monitor fuel level and avoid frequent refills. The package includes a proportioning pot for mixing two-stroke fuel, a funnel and a strainer to help keep the engine clean and running smoothly.
Ergonomics and handling: The driver uses a double-handle layout with soft sponge padding to reduce slippage and improve grip when lifting and positioning on posts. The overall weight is approximately 28.66 lbs, making it considerably lighter than heavy hydraulic or pneumatic pile drivers while still offering manageable control for one or two operators.
Accessories and setup: Supplied accessories include a mixing cup, funnel, fuel strainer and a basic installation tool kit so you can begin work immediately without sourcing extras. Standard setup involves mixing the correct two-stroke fuel ratio, fitting the unit over the post, and using the throttle to control impact intensity.
Applications: Intended for fencing, small construction projects, orchard supports, garden bed setups, geophysical and agricultural posts, and other light to medium piling tasks. Best suited to compact jobs where portability and speed outweigh the need for industrial-level force.
Pros
- Lightweight and portable for easy transport
- Translucent 0.23 gal tank for clear fuel monitoring
- Comes with mixing cup, funnel, strainer and tool kit
Cons
- Requires familiarization with throttle for efficient use
- Less durable under heavy industrial use
- Collar can let the unit shift off posts
VerdictA compact, efficient petrol pile driver that speeds up repetitive post-driving jobs. The 32.6cc 2-stroke engine produces strong impact pulses (roughly 20–45 J) at high frequency and runs air-cooled to limit overheating. Its twin handles and soft grips improve stability, and the translucent 0.23 gal fuel tank reduces refills. It’s not as heavy-duty as commercial hydraulic machines, but for garden,

Made the job possible
This tool was essential to finishing our fence project—couldn’t have done it as quickly without it.

Runs well with correct mix
Great unit when you use the right fuel ratio. I tried a leaner mix and it didn’t run right — switching to a 50:1 mix fixed it and the driver performed as expected.

Starter unit — consider durability
First arrival was damaged and had to be replaced. The second worked but felt underpowered. I later bought a sturdier model that was much faster. If you need sustained heavy use, consider a higher-end option.

Effective but wants to climb off posts
Does a decent job driving T-posts but the collar doesn’t hold deep enough, so it sometimes jumps off. I solved it by elevating myself in the bed of my side-by-side and pre-setting posts manually first.

Reliable and efficient
Performs smoothly and turns tough post-driving into a quick task. Works perfectly for my needs.

Indispensable for farm fence work
I finally used mine after a year and it took some getting used to, but once I found the rhythm it was impressive. Helped drive over 100 8' posts in about an hour. Tip: you don’t need full throttle. It’s lighter than my manual driver but still requires lifting—planning to mount it to a trailer for easier handling.

Sweet spot on the throttle
Took a few minutes to find the ideal throttle setting, but once I did it drove many posts with ease. My only gripe is the required 25:1 fuel ratio when most of my other tools use 50:1 or 40:1. Still, it runs a good while on a single tank.

Excellent value for light to medium jobs
Plenty of power for hard-packed clay and sand; I’ve driven 75–100 posts so far. It’s lighter and easier to move than industrial machines. After several hundred posts the handle has started to show wear, so keep an eye on parts.
