Disappointed — dull and ineffective
I bought these for model ship rigging but they didn’t cut threads cleanly. The blades weren’t sharp and the gap sometimes lets threads snag instead of severing. I was let down and couldn’t return them.

Handy thread trimmer for sewing
This tiny cutter is perfect for tidying threads. The spring-action squeeze is dependable and you hold it without finger loops. The curved blade lets you clip threads flush with fabric without nicking it. It’s too light for cutting heavy fabric but works great for machine sewing, quilting and embroidery.

Perfect for small craft cutting
Great for trimming shrink-plastic designs. Small shapes are simple to cut out, and the spring handle eases wrist strain. Regular scissors caused tendon pain and weren’t precise enough; these work well for delicate craft sessions.

Ideal for fine detail work
This style is my go-to for crafting. They’re sharp and accurate for detail cuts, and the spring mechanism reduces hand effort. I use both the straight and curved tips for cross-stitch and quilting with good results.

Useful but tip could be sharper
They’re decent overall, but the cutting point isn’t as pinpoint as my embroidery scissors; the blade tips don’t always cut quite as cleanly.
