Product description
Designed for portrait, fashion and beauty photography, this 42cm (16.5 inch) beauty dish produces the classic round catchlights and a soft, wrap-around quality to facial highlights.
It uses a Bowens-style mount so it will attach to a wide range of Bowens-mount monolights and LED fixtures — for example many models in the Godox strobe and LED lines as well as other manufacturers' Bowens-compatible heads.
The reflector has a white inner surface to yield a brighter ambient fill and gentler shadow transitions compared with silver-lined dishes. The kit includes a white diffusion sock to further soften output, a honeycomb grid to narrow and control the beam, and a soft carry bag for transport and storage.
Assembly involves fitting the dish to the Bowens mount, adding the central deflector and then choosing either the bare dish for more contrast, the sock for softer light, or the grid to direct output and limit spill.

Branding unclear
It never states that it’s Godox and the bag is from another maker. Materials seem iffy — it bent slightly on first use — but it still functions as intended.

Niche modifier with strong character
After decades shooting with various softboxes and dishes, I find this 55cm silver-style dish (similar in concept) to be a specialized but classic tool. It uses a central deflector to create a wrap-around, detail-emphasizing light. The result is punchy and contrasting — great when you want texture and impact rather than ultra-soft diffusion.

Good performance, a few annoyances
Build feels solid but light. The dish softens and evens light well and the white interior helps reduce harsh shadows. The included diffusion sock softens further but is difficult to install alone and tends to slip unless clamped. The Bowens mount attached to my LED head without a locking click, which was mildly frustrating. I also wish there was a proper case or at least something to store the fabric; otherwise it works fine.

Reliable metal construction
The 55cm dish I used has a smooth silver interior and a sturdy yet manageable metal shell. I run it via a Bowens adapter on small flashes; the diffuser sock is effective and gives an alternative, gentler look. Bare, the silver finish is contrastier; with the sock the output softens nicely. Note that the metal design doesn’t collapse for storage, so plan space accordingly.

Great addition to my kit
I bought this to expand lighting options. It’s larger than I thought, and I wished the included bag was more travel-ready. The diffuser takes practice to attach and I still fumble it sometimes, but the dish produces the beauty-dish look I wanted and I’m satisfied overall.
