Mann Lake Gray Plastic Uncapping Tank with Honey Gate
Product description
This uncapping tank is supplied ready to work: a molded plastic tub with a matching lid, an internal metal strainer grid that nests in the bottom, and a built-in honey gate for controlled pouring.
The design holds up to ten deep or shallow frames side-by-side for uncapping. After removing cappings, the tub can be inverted and used as an 8-gallon strainer tank. In strainer mode the honey gate lets you meter flow into jars or processing containers without drips.
Constructed from high-density polyurethane, the unit resists wear and handling stresses common in extraction work. The metal grid fits securely to catch cappings and support filter bags or cloth, preventing debris from entering the honey while allowing liquid to pass.
Intended to simplify workflow, the tub preserves frames and combs during uncapping, reduces mess, and speeds up bottling. Accessories and small parts store neatly inside the tub for compact storage between uses.

Lid arrived damaged
The tub itself seemed fine but the lid came cracked and slightly warped. I arranged a replacement through the seller and returned the unit for an exchange; the manufacturer was helpful but the seller handled the replacement process.

Huge time-saver for beginners
As first-time beekeepers we sped up harvesting a lot. I scraped comb into mesh bags, dropped them in the tub and let the screened bottom drain. Collected over 100 lb of honey and wax and used the spout to fill jars.

Practical for uncapping
Holds several frames and the screen does a good job separating wax. Cleanup is easy; if left near the hives the bees will tidy up stray drips within a day or two.
