Medley XL Digital Electric Skillet — Family-Size Electric Griddle
Product description
2025 REDESIGN — The latest Medley XL includes added heat shields and an embedded M-shaped heating element to promote uniform heat across the cooking surface and reduce hot or cold zones.
PRECISE DIGITAL CONTROL — A removable digital temperature module lets you set temperatures between 100°F and 425°F in 5°F increments. The control features a clear readout and an easy-turn selector, and the display clearly indicates when the unit is OFF.
LARGE FAMILY CAPACITY — The skillet offers a 7-quart capacity with high sidewalls and comes with a tempered glass lid. The roomy cooking area handles breakfasts, stews, casseroles, paella, ribs, and large batches for gatherings, and is suitable for use at home or in RVs and trucks.
HEAT MANAGEMENT — An integrated heat shield is designed to reflect heat back into the pan from the embedded element so the tabletop stays cooler and heat distribution is more even, minimizing the signature element-shaped hot marks some older models developed.
SAFER NONSTICK SURFACE — The cooking surface uses G11 Duralon ceramic, a scratch-resistant, PFAS-free coating that resists bubbling and peeling. The ceramic layer provides nonstick performance with easier cleanup compared with conventional coatings.
Pros
- Accurate 5°F digital temperature control
- Generous 7‑quart capacity with tall sides
- PFAS‑free, scratch‑resistant G11 ceramic surface
Cons
- Some units have reported controller or power issues
- Control buttons can require firm press to engage
- Digital setup may take a short learning curve
VerdictThe Medley XL delivers reliable high-capacity cooking with precise digital temperature control and a tougher ceramic nonstick surface. Its heat-shield and M-shaped heating elements are designed to reduce cold spots and limit table heat, and the removable controller gives fine 5°F adjustments from 100°F to 425°F. Most owners praise its nonstick performance and size for family meals or travel, thoug

Support sent a replacement cord
Our plug cord had an issue after the return window. I contacted the factory and they mailed a new cord that solved the problem. Customer support was helpful and responsive.

Perfect for feeding a crowd
I first saw this at a campground where it kept food warm and served many people. I use mine for family gatherings with varied preferences — you can cook different versions in one pan. Great for big breakfasts and batches of sandwiches when you’re cooking for more than four.

Control failed; replacement process was a hassle
My temperature control stopped working. The manufacturer required a receipt, video evidence, and other steps before issuing a replacement, which felt burdensome. I opted to box it up for return and buy a simpler dial-controlled skillet elsewhere.

Love it — but press the button firmly
Great appliance — cooks very well. Note: you must press the start button firmly; a light tap won’t register. If yours arrives defective, the one-year warranty can get you a replacement if you contact support.

Stopped mid-cook and wouldn’t restart
Cooking was even and nothing stuck, but it shut itself off halfway through dinner and wouldn’t power up again. The push button was fussy to engage at first and unplugging helped briefly, but then it wouldn’t come back on. Very disappointing to have a digital controller fail during a meal.

Exceeded expectations after earlier models failed
My partner tests many electric skillets and older units would show dark element marks and stick over time. This skillet’s nonstick surface outperformed those. We did have an initial power-cord problem; customer service sent a replacement quickly. The digital controller is different than older dials but worked well once we learned to program cook time properly.

Fast heating, good size, no forever chemicals
Replaced a 25-year-old pan. Heats quickly, nothing sticks, and it’s PFAS-free. It doesn’t brown french toast quite like the old pan, but I can make six pieces at once and cleaning up is simple.
