USB 6-Speed H‑Pattern Shifter for G29/G27/G25/G920/T300RS Racing Wheels
Product description
Compatibility and setup
This USB simulator shifter is made to work with Logitech G25, G27, G29 and G920 Driving Force bases, plus Thrustmaster T300RS/GT wheels when used on a Windows PC (Windows 7, 8, 10 are supported). It installs as a plug‑and‑play device on Windows 10; older systems such as Windows 7 or XP may need drivers.
Included items and materials
The package contains the shifter unit with attached USB lead and integrated mounting clamps. The housing is molded from durable ABS plastic, and the lever is dressed with a hand‑stitched leather boot and a leatherette knob cover for improved feel and wear resistance.
Shifting mechanics and use
The unit features a six‑speed H‑pattern gearbox with a push‑down action for reverse, delivering a conventional manual shifting experience for racing sims. It connects via USB to the PC and is recognized as a game controller input for compatible titles.
Mounting and dimensions
Built‑in fastening clamps secure the shifter to tables or cockpit rigs; they accommodate surface thicknesses from about 0.3 to 2.2 inches. The clamps are adjustable and intended to hold the unit steady during aggressive shifting.
Game support and notes
This shifter works with a wide range of racing games — examples include Dirt, WRC, Assetto Corsa, Live for Speed, Euro Truck Simulator, Project Cars, and Forza Motorsport 4. Important: it is not compatible with the Forza Horizon 1–5 Steam versions.
Pros
- Realistic six‑speed H‑pattern with push‑down reverse
- Sturdy ABS body with hand‑stitched leather trim
- Integrated clamps fit most desks and rigs
Cons
- Not compatible with Forza Horizon 1–5 on Steam
- May require drivers on older Windows versions
- Some users report durability issues over time
VerdictA solidly built, realistic six-speed USB shifter that brings tactile H‑pattern shifts and a push‑down reverse to many Logitech and Thrustmaster wheel setups. Construction and mounting are reliable for casual and sim racers, and it’s easy to set up on Windows 10. Compatibility gaps (notably Forza Horizon on Steam) and occasional durability concerns may affect long‑term value.

Worked briefly then failed to register gears
Fine at first, but after a few months it stopped reliably detecting gear positions and would flip between neutral and engaged. Didn’t last long enough to justify the purchase.

Cable didn’t match my console, asked for replacement or refund
The shifter arrived in good condition, but the cable isn’t compatible with my PlayStation setup. I requested a replacement and sent photos of the connection I need, or a refund if that wasn’t possible, and I’m still waiting.
